Patrick Goetz

Patrick Goetz’ credentials as an executive, visionary, and strategic thinker are just as impressive as his engineering qualifications. This is exactly why he founded his own engineering firm in 2006. Engineering is the background needed to excel in the consulting field. However, project strategies and a strong proactive thought process are skills that only come with big picture experience with highly qualified teams. His 29 years of diversified experience make him one of a kind.
Pat is often referred to as an “anomaly” in the engineering field who possesses true skills sets in multiple facets of the design and construction industry. He has served in every capacity of a consulting engineering firm including drafting, design, project management and principal in charge. He also has served seven years as a project manager, estimator, pre-construction manager and division leader in contracting. In addition, he is a local instructor for the Department of Energy. He has published several engineering papers and is a regular annual presenter at the International Sustainable Laboratories conference.
Mr. Goetz has 28 years experience in the Commercial Construction industry where he has prepared master plans, prepared energy analyses, prepared contract documents, estimated and provided construction, commissioning and project management services for single buildings as well as campus facilities. Projects have included more than 300 renovation projects in the 5,000 to 1,000,000 ft2 range.
His project list includes over 2,000 completed projects totaling more than 60,000,000 square feet and 6 trillion dollars of new and renovation construction. Projects range from 5,000 to 1,000,000 ft2 and include a wide variety of project types:

  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing and research and development
  • Government facilities of all types
  • Office
  • Retail
  • School
  • Church
  • Post Office
  • Water and Waste water treatment facilities
  • Manufacturing
  • Residential
  • Health Care

Pat’s unique skill set and experience in both the design and construction sides of the commercial construction field will provide real time constructability as well as cost input for all mechanical, electrical and plumbing decisions. His track record throughout his career includes project change orders totaling less than 0.5%.
Pat is a graduate from University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a BS in Engineering in 1988 and holds licenses in Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia, New Jersey and North Carolina. He is a member of ISPE and I2SL.
